The plain-language version of what FlipTag collects and why. Last updated July 19, 2026.
The short version
FlipTag exists to price your stuff, not to harvest your data. We collect the minimum needed to run the product, we don't sell or share your data for advertising, and your photos are never stored.
Photos
Photos you take or upload are processed on your device, sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) to identify and price the item — which may include a live web search for comparable listings — and then discarded. FlipTag does not store your photos. Only the pricing result (item name, prices, listing text) is saved, and only if you're signed in.
What we collect
Account: your email address, via Google sign-in or magic link.
Your items: pricing results you save — item names, prices, listing text, and any sold/posted status you record.
Usage: pricing counts (to enforce free and Pro limits) and anonymous product events (e.g. "a listing button was tapped") to understand what's working. An anonymous device identifier meters free pricings before you sign up.
Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. FlipTag never sees or stores your card number.
Who processes it
FlipTag runs on a small set of infrastructure providers, each receiving only what they need: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (photo analysis and price research), and Vercel (hosting).
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your items or activity with other users. We don't store photos.
Your controls
You can delete any saved item in the app. To delete your account and all associated data, email ben.rakozy@gmail.com and we'll take care of it promptly.
